Acropolis Greek Taverna | Ybor

Went on saturday november 10 2012 at 2pm, food was average. Restaurant was dirty, salt and pepper shakers were greasy filled with yellow crust.Found a hair in my karpathos salad so i told my waitress Karolina, a tall blond with lots of make up about it and she smiled and said not a problem,she gave my bill and charged me full price. Never going back to that filthy restaurant even if u paid me

I have been to several Acropolis's before and I love them all! My friend also used to work there. They have a fun night scene with DJ's (in the Tampa one) and they also have some of the best food I have ever had. I would recommend trying the fries with feta cheese. It is amazing. The location of the Ybor Acropolis is right on 7th, which is cool. Perfect place for dinner and a movie. You can also choose healthy menu items here, which I prefer. They also have entertainment including belly dancers and the employees with do occasional Greek inspired dances. Great place to try if you have never been!

If you love Greek food, you will love Acropolis Greek Taverna! There are a few locations around Tampa Bay but the Ybor location is still one of my favorite. Located on 7th Avenue, the restaurant and bar has both indoor and outdoor seating. When the weather is good, which is most days in Tampa, sit outside and enjoy people watching in Ybor. Have a large party, get there early because they fill up fast. They are usually busy for both lunch and dinner.

Pros: The food is amazing, the atmosphere is vibrant and the location is in the heart of Ybor.

Cons: It can get really busy and if you are not familiar with the area, can be hard to find parking.

Pros: Incredible Greek Food! Try anything with cheese, you won't be disappointed!

Cons: Parking in Ybor City is a headache! Try parking at the garage on 15th!

I actually wanted to select the Brandon location in Winthrop Plaza.

as far as I'm concerned, the Acropolis is owned and operated by dirty, dishonest people and I can guarantee I'll never eat there again. Take your business elsewhere.

Cons: The staff at the Acropolis in Ybor is dishonest and rude. I will NEVER bring my business there again, and I hope any one who reads this won't either. The service was incredibly slow, and the wait staff was unfriendly. There was a mix up with my friend whom I was splitting the bill with, and we ended up paying twice - I charged the bill to my card, and she left the full payment in cash as well. The waitress didn't bother to say anything to either of us, I mean really, who leaves 100% of the bill for a tip, especially when the service sucked?! We realized what happened when we got home, and I immediately called the restaurant to ask them not to charge my card. The hostess that answered was so rude, she said 'sorry we can't do that, we can't be sure that you actually paid in cash' and I replied 'are you serious? why can't you ask our waitress?' she told me I could talk to the manager, so of course I said yes, and then she put me on hold where a short time later the call was disconnected. I tried to call back but no one answered.
