Event Details
Join The Animal Coalition of Tampa and The Blind Tiger Cafe, for Cat-urday, Tampa’s first Cat Cafe.
Cat cafes have been popular in Japan for over a decade. The concept of a cat café is to promote the adoption of shelter cats in a casual, coffee shop environment, providing a unique experience to both those looking to adopt a cat and cat lovers alike.
The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center is offering a special “Name your price”, donation based pricing deal for this event. The cat adoptions will take place in Co-Work Ybor, an extension of The Blind Tiger Café. There will also be a private “meet and greet” room, where attendees can take the cat of their choice for playtime, reducing the stress on the cats. All attendees who adopt a cat or kitten will receive a gift bag from Animal Coalition of Tampa.
These hot summer months are considered “Kitten Season”, when the shelters get over-crowded with cats and kittens. The Pet Resource Center does everything they can to get these animals adopted, but now more than ever, they need the help of the community.
The Animal Coalition of Tampa, a low cost spay neuter and wellness clinic, has stepped up to help these shelter cats. Part of ACT’s mission is to keep cats and dogs out of the shelter and promote adoptions, which is why events like Cat-urday are important.
The Blind Tiger and ACT want to bring attention to the adoption of shelter cats, and what better way than to enjoy a handcrafted drink, while getting to play with, pet and possibly adopt a new best friend?
20% of Food and Drink Proceeds from the event will be donated to The Animal Coalition of Tampa.
The Blind Tiger Café is located in Ybor City at 1901 East 7th Ave., Tampa FL 33605
