Description
TampaRep mounted its first production in July, 2011 -- Alcestis, a Greek tragedy by Euripides. Since then, we have produced produced a wide-range of theatre, from the musical I Do! I Do! to Hamlet, as well as our three play series of Tennessee Williams' major plays: A Streetcar Named Desire, The Glass Menagerie, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour; and Eugene O'Neill's The Iceman Cometh -- all part of our dedication to producing classics from the American Theatre. In addition, we have produced several Florida premieres of contemporary plays: Phoenix, Imagining Madoff, and Silent Sky. Our laboratory company, TRT2 provides opportunities for actors, directors, designers, and playwrights to develop their skills in new and exciting ways. Together we're TampaRep: Innovative. Provocative. Classic.
