Trick OR Treat At The Plaza

Here's just some of what's coming your way:


* There will be cool treat bags for all kids in attendance to collect candy with available at three locations across the plaza.

* Giant hopscotch is back this year, and we'll reveal what will be given away for those who can make it through soon. Last year it was a tub of cotton candy and about 200 kids got one.

* Tax Starz Of Tampa Bay will once again host the Halloween coloring contest as well as hand out free snacks & bottled water.

* We'll be giving away lots of delicious pizza outside of Hungry Howie's starting at 12pm again this year.

* Rescue Pets' Animal Meet & Greet is our new activity this year. Their organization has teamed up with us for this event as a trick or treat station sponsor and we offered to let some of the animals they care for come out and join us too.

* Our costume contest will run throughout the event and there will be lots of winners this year. We can't wait to see all of the costumes, especially the creative ones. The top prize this year is a free trip to Busch Gardens on New Year's Eve!

* If you don't have a costume, then let us give you one. Face painting is back and it has always been one of the most popular activities.

* Another new feature this year is the collectible wristbands that will be handed out at different locations. Every child who collects all 6 will be entered into a drawing for a second opportunity to join us at Busch Gardens for free on New Year's Eve!

* Almost every store in the plaza will be participating, and you'll be able to trick-or-treat in the stores in addition to visiting all of the trick or treat locations outside. Even Winn Dixie will be handing out candy.

* There will be two or three photo opportunities with Halloween backgrounds & characters. Locations for those are still TBD so look for them as you go along.
