Barrett School of Music

Laura Barrett opened Barrett School of Music in Summer 2011. Since then, we’ve taught students of all ages in Tampa, St. Pete, Brandon and Miami.

The well-rounded nature of our studio is what sets our Tampa music school apart. We understand the meaning of Family and the benefits of having music in the household, but we are not blind to the difficulties in making music lessons a part of the weekly schedule. That’s why we offer in-home lessons in piano, voice, guitar, drums, violin, and more. Our private lessons are convenient and make the joys of having a musical house much easier.

In addition to weekly lessons, we offer a variety of performance opportunities, workshops, summer camps, master classes and much more throughout the calendar year to allow students of our Tampa music school to apply the musical knowledge that they obtain in both our one-on-one and group lessons.

At Barrett School of Music, we believe that the balance of education and performance experience is critical to being both effective teachers as well as musicians. This is why we strive to hire instructors who perform regularly to teach our private music classes. Teachers at Barrett School of Music are generally classically trained, are degreed musicians, or are currently working towards completing their music degree.
