About Seminole Heights
Centrally located and full of charm, Seminole Heights is quickly becoming one of Tampa's most popular neighborhoods.
In 1911, a trolley line connected Seminole Heights to downtown and Tampa's first suburb was born. Located three miles north of downtown, the many historic buildings create a quirky and welcoming atmosphere. There is lots of housing available and you should find something for every budget. There are bungalows and hip studio lofts. Seminole Heights also has the longest stretch of riverfront parkland in the city along the Hillsborough River. This area is totally a dog lover's dream, with many local businesses being exceptionally pet-friendly.
While you can?t bring your fur baby to yoga, the pre-class conversation at one of Seminole Heights' two yoga studios always turns to dogs and cats. Meet your friends at Sattva Yoga, on Florida Avenue, or at Jai Dee Yoga just a few blocks away, on Nebraska Avenue. The Seminole Heights Sunday Market is reminiscent of an English manor home locale of Hillsborough High School, also features a community yoga class. Outdoor fitness and yoga classes are also offered at Seminole Heights Garden Center which is a popular location for perfectly special events with its multipurpose building and expansive lawn.
If you're a foodie, you'll have plenty of options in the Heights. The area is perfect for families and active singles which is still unique and affordable. They even have their own seal - inspired by the legendary two-headed alligator of Tampa Bay!
