The heart, soul and warm welcome of authentic 'Italiano' awaits you inside Benedetto's, a place that manages to receive slews of kudos even with its "best-kept secret" reputation. Couples, singles, families and groups in the know flock here for treats, and those celebrating anniversaries can expect special attention. The chef makes everything fresh, and much of the menu caters to veggie-eaters. Each entree arrives with a garlic loaf and salad or house-made soup. Appetizers include old favorites from calamari to bruschetta. Try the aptly named Mound of Mussels. Almond-encrusted black grouper gives a new look to an old favorite. Veal Sinatra tops tender cutlets with slender eggplant and cheese. Pages of pastas and pizzas please the palate, but don't overlook gourmet specialties such as osso bucco, salmon and the signature filet mignon.
