JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for providing massages and facial treatments to spa guests.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must hold a valid Florida state and national certification for massage therapy, must also be insured
- Must have efficient practice of Swedish, deep tissue, hot rock, reflexology, and aromatherapy massages as well as body treatments
- Must have strong coping and communication skills capable of professional decision making and effective problem solving while attending to our guests and fellow employees
- A minimum of five years experience in a luxury spa setting is required. Ability to respond to guests needs while always maintaining a professional scope of practice
- A positive and energetic personality with a desire to succeed in the spa industry
- Must possess exceptional guest service skills
- Must be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Must have basic computer skills
Work Environment:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the hotel and spa of the property, which can be faced-paced. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
