The Cage Cashier is responsible for controlling and accounting of transactions for the cage windows. The Cage Cashier performs transactions with high volume cash and non-cash transactions for our guests in a friendly, courteous, accurate, and timely manner.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide legendary guest service with respect, passion and dedication.
- Process Credit and Debit card advancements for guest.
- Cash personal checks.
- Exchange cash, chips and tickets at the cage window.
- Process all transaction accurately and with integrity.
- Exchange foriegn currency.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Enter patron transactions into the company computer system accurately.
- Prepare paperwork, balance sheets and documents in accordance with our Standards and Procedures (S&P's), and within the guidelines of Internal Controls. Signs all documents legibly and in accordance with S&P's.
- Strictly adhere to department policies and procedures in order to maintain integrity of the Cage operation. Apply accurate transaction and balancing practices.
- Responsible for the impress bank issued. Perform guest and in house monetary transactions.
- Transfer cash, chips and checks between cages and/or departments in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Strictly adhere to department policies and procedures in order to maintain integrity of the Cage operation. Apply accurate transaction and balancing practices.
- Comply with Federal Title 31 procedures.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.
- Promote positive public/team member relations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required as well as a minimum of six (6) months to one (1) year of high-volume money handling or cashiering experience; ideally in the casino or banking industry.
- Strong cash handling and counting skills.
- Must have proficient basic math skills with ten key experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience.
- Ability to develop knowledge of computer systems, both company and vendor provided, to a proficient level.
- Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.
- Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional demeanor.
- Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment while adhering to strict guidelines and controls. Must be detail oriented.
Work Environment:
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to general public and excessive noise.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
