Event Details
The Tampa Bay Black Authors Expo is back for our 3rd year and this year we're thrilled to be able to host our event at the beautiful Tampa Heights Junior Civic Association Event Venue located at 2005 N. Lamar Ave in Tampa, FL!
Our theme for this year's event is "Bringing Black Books Beyond". It's 2024 and we want to take Black books and authors beyond any obstacle we may be facing... censorship and book bans, the growing influence of social media, the dizzying pace of AI technology. We want to celebrate, support, uplift, and educate our local Black and Brown authors and writers. Our modern day griots!

Co-host, author, and fitness trainer Jeff White will be back with his popular "Making a Living as a Writer" workshop. Those wanting to enter the comic book industry, and those who have already jumped in, should be excited for Marcus H. Roberts' workshop about the road to self-publishing. Host and bookseller/owner Tonisha Mitchell will be discussing how independent authors can use AI technology.
