Florida Wiener Dog Derby XI (FWDDXI)

The Florida Wiener Dog Derby, Inc, is a Florida event based all-volunteer 501C3 fundraiser for local dachshund and animal rescue. In a calendar year, we host at least ten different competition events within the state of Florida, which raise money for designated nonprofits. Our main event is scheduled to be held on Saturday May 1, 2021. The Florida Wiener Dog Derby, sponsored by Reeves Import Motorcars, expects at least 1,000 spectators and we host up to 200 pets to compete in different talent and obedience based contests, not to mention the main event, which is Florida's Largest Dachshund Derby and gathering. For our 2021 Derby, we are celebrating eleven years of family fun and raising money for four dachshund and dog rescue/adoption/education in Central Florida.

There are 8 total racing divisions, 7 of which are restricted to dachshunds: 1 racing division, Wiener Wannabe, is open to all small & medium dog breeds. There are 5 additional fun contests open to all breeds: Best Kisser, Best Tail, Best Nose, Speed Trap and Bad 2DA BONE! We also have a costume contest that starts at 11am which is FREE for pets (and their people) to enter.
The Event is FREE to attend and open to the public.
Contest entry fees start at (except for the Free Costume contest) $10 and there is a VIP package option.
In addition to all the contests and competitions, we host a large raffle and silent auction. This is where the greatest need is for our in-kind donations to help maximize our overall fundraising. A diverse variety of items will bring a large volume of participation with a “something for everyone”. We also will have a variety of vendors and food trucks.
