As The Junior League of Tampa’s newest signature fundraiser, the Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Festival aims to drive community awareness, engagement and involvement, and to promote health and wellness across the Bay.
Event Details
On Saturday, April 27, 2019, downtown Tampa’s Garrison Channel will come alive with community, corporate and professional paddlers racing to the finish. On land at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park along the beautiful Riverwalk, people of all ages can enjoy food trucks, live music, entertainment, local merchants and fun activities. The festival is a fundraiser for The Junior League of Tampa, a nonprofit organization of 2,000 women dedicated to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. All net proceeds from the Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Festival will support the League's life-changing community projects and advocacy programs throughout the local and state community. The League's operating expenses are funded entirely by our members' annual dues.
