Description
Paddle for Peace is a unique, local event benefiting The Spring of Tampa Bay.
Event Details
By bringing together the popular sport of stand-up paddle boarding (SUP) and the cause of domestic violence, we hope to bring awareness to our mission of creating a peaceful world through safety, hope & renewal, while raising funds to support Hillsborough County’s certified domestic violence center & prevention programs. It's a family (and pet!) friendly event driven by volunteers, donors and friends.
Registration of $30 ($10 for kids 6+) includes FREE prior lessons (see Spring events) by local Gasparilla SUP Invasion paddle experts. Board rentals for September 30 are limited and $20.
By participating, you can help survivors of domestic violence rebuild their lives and raise awareness to prevent domestic violence from occurring.
1 in 4 women in the United States report experiencing domestic violence by a current or former partner at some point in her life. We believe that providing a safe haven for families utilizing an empowerment-based approach with time to heal, encouragement and support will create more self-determination and independence leading to peaceful families and a better Tampa Bay community.
You have the ability to bring peace to families. REGISTER TODAY!
