Thousands will gather in Tampa Bay as the delegates of the Republican Party converge in the Tampa Bay Times Forum to choose the party's nominees for President and Vice President of the United States.

If there's one big event that's putting Tampa on the map this year, it's the 2012 Republican National Convention at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
Beginning August 27 and lasting through August 30, this national event will host the Republican Party as their delegates choose their picks for the Republican Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2012 Election.
The Republican National Convention is also looking for volunteers. If you' d like to get more information about volunteering at the RNC in Tampa, visit the event website listed above.
