Description
The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual fundraising walk and a night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling blood cancer. Come enjoy lots of music, activities, food, and support the hope for a future without cancer!
Event Details
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS supports our patients with co-pay assistance, research, educational materials and advocacy.
Participants walk along a one– to two-mile route in the community. Everyone registered to walk will carry lighted lanterns— white for cancer survivors, red for supporters, and gold lanterns in memory of loved ones lost. Our new event experience provides a celebration of the Cancer Survivors, a Remembrance Dome to honor and remember a family member or friend lost to cancer and a spectacular firework show. Come enjoy lots of music, activities, food, and support the hope for a future without blood cancer!
The Walk campaign welcomes corporate involvement on both the local and national level. The Walk is open to all; it does not require a particular level of fitness.
Light The Night and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society strongly depend on funds raised through the community. Register, make a team, and post your walk page on social media. Every bit counts towards the efforts of making Someday, Today
Registration is free and easy, please visit www.LightTheNight.org/sun
If you would like to volunteer at Light The Night, please contact Ivy Niven, Campaign Assistant, at 813-261-3160 or at ivy.niven@lls.org
