There's a new sports facility opening in North Tampa on Monday and, if things go their way, they could have the financial backing of beloved Broncos quarterback, Tim Tebow.

D1 Sports Training will open their newest sports facility in the former location of Circuit City on Gunn Highway.  This facility will be D1's 13th location following the opening of facilities in other cities including Birmingham, Al., Greenville Sc., Cincinatti, Oh., and Savannah, Ga. (which Tebow already co-owns).

Talks are nearly wrapped up for Tebow to invest in this Tampa location.  Earlier this week, D1 spokesman, Matt Toy told the St. Petersburg Times that they can't quite announce anything yet because Tebow is so focused on the season and there are a few details to work out.

Tebow isn't the only celebrity investor of this new D1 Sports Training location in Tampa.  Atlanta Braves third baseman, Chipper Jones and professional wrestler, Chris Jericho have also invested in the facility.  Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Derrick Brooks is also on board to promote the facility and has equity in it.

Formed by former University of Tennessee fullback Will Bartholomew, D1 Sports Training is an all-encompassing fitness facility focused on making athletes of all skill levels faster, stronger, more agile, and explosive while also building character.

Since 2002, the various D1 locations have trained over 500 pro athletes, 1,500+ Division 1 collegiate athletes, and 25,000+  scholastic athletes.

Head to D1 Sports Training in North Tampa beginning on Monday, January 2 and see what they're all about.
