More shopping options and fashion choices are coming to South Tampa's Hyde Park Village this fall. For fashionistas and personal shoppers, this is great news! Hyde Park Village announced two new retailers set to open their doors soon; Social Status and Boho Hunter. Both concepts bring Haute new choices to the Village for shoppers looking for on trend, hip clothing, specialty items, and unique accessories.
Social Status
Social Status, a street style sneaker boutique founded in downtown Pittsburgh by James Whitner (Social Status, A Ma Maniere, A.P.B., and Prosper) also operates stores in Georgia, Texas, and North Carolina. This fall you will find them at 1505 W Swann Avenue between Salt Pines and The Shade Store in Hyde Park Village. Social Status feels they, "best represent the direction of a new culture for Tampa,” Whitner said in a recent statement, "The decision to open our newest Social Status store in Hyde Park Village was an easy one. Considering it's a go-to place for entertainment and nightlife--."
Following a gunshot wound that nearly ended his life, Whitner removed himself from 'the life' moving on to develop what today is considered an East Coast clothing empire. We are excited Whitner and his partners liked what they saw in Tampa, ultimately making the decision to open a store in our backyard. This will be a fun and exciting Grand Opening, be sure to register on 813area and connect to stay on top of local events and Haute shopping spots like Social Status.
Boho Hunter

A short stroll from the Soho District, and Bayshore Boulevard, this area is positioned well as part of a larger recreation, entertainment, and dining district. Hyde Park Village is comprised of six city blocks in the heart of the historic Hyde Park District—one of Tampa Bay’s most desirable residential areas.
Since its first buildings were constructed in 1905, this landmark retail destination has been a cherished regional hub for locals and visitors to the area.
