I think Samurai Blue is perhaps one of the best sushi restaurants in Tampa Bay. It has survived the nasty 2008 recession and continued to still serve quality fish and food that can satisfactory even a picky sushi diner like myself. I traveled to Tokyo, Japan last winter and have found it to be a little difficult to find worthwhile fish after tasting such high-quality fish in the Tsukiji Fish Market - one of the most popular fish markets on Earth if not the #1 place to get sushi. I visited Samurai Blue recently after they completed remodeling and not only does Samurai Blue look great after the remodeling with comfortable seating, expanded space, but the sushi has remained top-notch. I appreciate that the owners do not cut corners and pay attention to their product. The prices are standard sushi prices. I highly recommend their blue crab rangoons and the Hawaiian Roll to diners. If you need a drink, go for the Yuzu Saketini - I never thought I would say that I love sake, Japanese rice wine, but this drink is superb. A sweet treat in your mouth. Perhaps the only drawback about Samurai Blue is that parking in Ybor City can be a bit of a pain, but at least the garage behin

I have been here several times and I would highly recommend it especially if you like sushi. They have awesome sushi. Tons of choices AND the rest of their food is also amazing. Everything I have tried was SO good. I always try to bring friends who visit from out of town here. Great place for a date and/or to go with friends. You could also do dinner and a movie because it is right next door to Muvico in Ybor. Great location, great service, great food. What more can you ask for in a restraurant. I love this place!

Centrally located in Centro Ybor, this is a great place for a date or a group of friends. With all the bars, nightlife, and movies in walking distance, this place is a great start to many nights. Walking distance from my house is a big plus :)

Pros: Some of the best sushi in Tampa!! The atmosphere and ambiance is great with options of booth, table or by the sushi bar.

Park in the garage on 15th in Ybor City to save that 'where to park' headache!

Pros: Try the Blue Moon Roll, it is my favorite roll in Tampa!

Cons: The service can be amazing to downright bad, depends on the server but either way great rolls!
