Sparkman Wharf
Boat Run Oyster Co.
Oyster people have always confused me. Who wants a slimy, cold, and gelatin-like morsel trickling down their throat? So, yeah, that's me now! Boat Run Oyster Company is a tide-to-table concept that brings crazy unique flavors to the beef-like bites. They have chorizo and honey butter oysters that are both beautiful and delicious! Kiera will show attendees of her food tour how to make these slimy little morsels shine on camera!
BT in a Box
BT in a Box is the perfect meal for when you’re trying to get out of your comfort zone and try something new, making it perfect for a food tour! French and Vietnamese cuisine was built on simple flavors that stood out. Try the Bun Box which combines glass noodles, lettuce, cucumber, daikon, carrots, mixed herbs, scallions, and roasted peanuts topped with chili garlic sauce- it's both beautiful and tasty!
The Hall on Franklin
Bake 'N Babes
Bake 'N Babes is the perfect place to go for this food tour because their food is so aesthetically pleasing! They make outrageous shakes with full slices of two-layer cake atop the cool, sugary beverage. Their desserts are colorful and vibrant, which make for big smiles and great mouth-watering images for your Instagram!
Poke Rose
If sushi is your thing, get excited! Poke Rose has fresh fish and crisp veggies that they combine to make a delicious meal filled with flavor. What makes these bowls Instagram-worthy is the vibrant and natural colors of the ingredients in the Poke Bowls. There are pink and peach-colored tuna, greenery from avocado, purple cabbage, and red radish- these are bowls that will break records on your Instagram!
North Star Eatery
North Star Eatery is a showcase of popular Southeast Asian street food with dishes ranging from crunchy green papaya salad with crispy shrimp chips to braised oxtail and rice noodles in a spicy lemongrass broth. These unique flavors will come across on screen as you photograph the flavors of Southeast Asia this Saturday! Grab a Bao bun, and North Star Eatery will make it one to remember!
Armature Works
BNB Tampa
You’re in the South, so you knew it was coming: the barbeque! Wings, brisket, mac and cheese, pulled pork, and more await you at Butcher N Barbeque. They have slow-cooked traditional BBQ with revolutionary sides that will change the BBQ game in Tampa! The spiced watermelon salad and cucumber salad are the perfect way to bring an element of freshness into your day of devouring delicious foods! My suggestion: the Kicken Wings and a side of mac and cheese!
Empamamas
Hey, Tampa girls! Come get an empanada made just for you! Empamamas makes little pockets of perfection that, when your break them open, ooze out with substantial meat and melty cheese. There’s nothing that stops me in my tracks on Instagram like a cheese pull video, and Empamamas is giving you the opportunity to make one of your own. Try the Tampa Girl, which is my personal favorit and an empanada version of the Cuban sandwich.
Hemingway’s
At Hemingway’s, you'll find more dishes that were inspired by the history of Tampa. Hemingway’s is serving soulful Cuban classics with a contemporary twist during breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. For a picture-perfect meal try the Cuban Salchipapa with yucca fries, shredded pork, chicharrones, melted cheese, chopped avocado, crispy onions, aioli duo, and fresh chopped cilantro.
Bar Armature
Stop by the bar at Armature Works to try one of their charming signature cocktails. My favorite’ are their versions of the Jalapeno Margarita or Cucumber Gimlet. Both are served with style' whether it's a slice of jalapeno atop the glass or a dried lemon round that's served with my cucumber gimlets, Bar Armature is a great place to try something new!
