With the opening of The Hatchery, South Tampa residents can finally satisfy all their chicken cravings, whether it be tenders, wings, or sandwiches, in one place. The new restaurant is launched by FSC Franchising Co., the parent company of Beef ‘O’ Brady and Brass Tap. CEO Chris Elliot assures that the fast-casual venture will sacrifice nothing to ensure the quality of their food.
“We felt like to get into that competitive environment with chicken and to compete with the likes of industry leaders like Chick-fil-A, Raising Cane’s, the product quality had to be off the charts,” Elliot says.
With the restaurant’s cozy farmhouse-chic decor, which encapsulates the comforting idea of the American farmer, The Hatchery will be the perfect place to bring family or friends to relax and enjoy the ultimate comfort food. Those not in the mood for chicken can go for the Hatch burger, a combination of short-rib and brisket served on a toasted brioche bun or the Sunrise breakfast burger sandwich from the restaurant’s all-day breakfast menu. “Little chicks”- those under the age of 12- can order off the kid’s menu while those of age can try one of many alcoholic beverages or the Smashed Lemonade which is made with fresh strawberries and blueberries.
All of The Hatchery’s chicken dishes are made with fresh ingredients and hormone-free chicken, providing a perfect blend of the comfort of fried chicken with the authenticity of home-made dishes. It also offers a variety of house-made sauces including their signature “Hatch ranch”, honey mustard, or hot honey.
FSC’s new venture into the ever-growing chicken market has been three years in the works with its opening initially scheduled for April. However, construction was halted as the COVID pandemic led to a lockdown. Now, The Hatchery’s long-awaited brick-and-mortar store is finally here and customers are getting a taste of everything The Hatchery has to offer.
Located at 201 N Dale Mabry, The Hatchery is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily. For more information, call 813.492.5342.
