Ciccio Restaurant Group's newest delectable addition is located on South Howard in Tampa near Hyde Park and is the sweetest yet. Putting a spin on popular healthy desserts, Sweet Soul opened in mid-February and pulled in crowds with its adorable heart-shaped logo, pink and yellow "Instagram worthy" banana wall, and even more picture-worthy treats.
Open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily, Sweet Soul's menu is far from boring with their vegan matcha soft serve and acai bowls, which also happen to be their two most popular items, and for good reason. Their vegan matcha soft serve is swirled with activated charcoal vanilla bean soft serve, not only making for a unique-looking ice cream but also featuring two sought-after ingredients in one. Matcha, a finely-ground powder made from green tea leaves, is known as a powerful antioxidant and metabolism-booster. Then activated charcoal cleanses the body from toxins, helping illuminate the skin, and, swirled together, the treat is not only drool-worthy, but good for you too!
Sweet Soul's picture-perfect acai bowls are also a healthy hit as there are a variety of toppings, mix-ins, and add-ons you can choose from to create your own bowl. In addition to their vegan matcha soft serve and acai bowls, they also offer other goodies including smoothies and overnight oats bowls.
Parked in the middle of Tampa's hippest neighborhood, as you can imagine that Sweet Soul has become a smash hit in SoHo. This past Sunday they even ran out of food three hours before closing time, a testament to the popularity of what has become one of the biggest hits in the neighborhood since the Ciccio Restaurant Group opened Fresh Kitchen Tampa just a couple blocks down Howard Avenue. The pair make a delicious one-two punch for those looking for delicious and nutritious in Hyde Park.
