So, maybe you didn't go out on Valentine's Day yesterday. We sure as heck don't blame you. Rubbing elbows in a packed restaurant full of other Romeos and Juliets trying to get their romance on is hardly our idea of a relaxing evening. Luckily, a handful of great Tampa Bay area restaurants realize this and are extending their special Valentine's Day menus through this weekend, February 16 and 17. Here are some of our favorites.
Mangroves - This premier Hyde Park dining spot will offer a special Valentine’s menu featuring a variety of appetizers, second course selections, entrees, and deserts through the weekend. Mangroves extended Valetine's Day menu includes favorites like pan-seared scallops over cheese polenta, 8 oz. filet mignon, and Pacific rim seabass.
Grille 54 - This casual North Tampa restaurant is also extending their Valentine's Day specials throughout the weekend. Head out to Grille 54 to enjoy a special selection of items including Escargot en Crout in white wine butter and chopped garlic topped with a puff pastry; 16 oz. slow-roasted Prime Rib; and an oak-grilled 10 oz. veal chop.
GrillSmith - When it comes to a romantic dinner in an enticingly casual environment, any one of the six Grillsmith locations throughout the Tampa Bay area will suit you well. The Valentine's Day weekend special at Grillsmith includes select appetizers, entrees, and deserts for two - all for a mere $50.
Renzo's Argentine Steakhouse - Spice things up a bit this Valentine's Day weekend with one of Tampa's leading Argentine steakhouses, Renzo's. Renzo's will offer a unique Valentine's Day special for couples through the weekend which includes five courses (appetizer, salad, soup, entree, and desert) as well as a bottle of red or white house wine - all for only $49.95 per couple.
