Chicken and waffle lovers unite! Metro Diner, known for their comfort food with flair, is bringing their culinary delights to South Tampa.
South Tampa will be the first Hillsborough County location for Metro Diner. They’ve got a restaurant in St Pete and 16 other Sunshine State locations. Additional Florida stores under construction are in Tamarac and The Villages.
The Tampa location will open at 4001 W. Kennedy Blvd, which is the current home of an aging strip center housing a closed Radio Shack and other out of business retailers. At the end of 2016, new owners announced plans to redevelop the strip to include a mix of restaurant and medical office space.
Metro Diner serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and all from scratch. The place, “Where the Locals Eat," includes breakfast staples in the morning and come midday meatloaf, chicken pot pie, pot roast and of course their wildly popular chicken and waffles pictured above!
Other tenants in the Metro Diner strip center will include La Segunda Bakery, T-Mobile, Noire The Nail Bar, Nekter Juice Bar and UBreakiFix.
