We might be a little biased now that he's on board with us, but Carlos Hernandez is a good person to know when it comes to great food in Tampa. His dining-focused blog Carlos Eats boasts a wealth of information and critical reviews on local restaurants and is consistently ranked amongst the top Tampa food blogs based on Urbanspoon rankings.
Now, Hernandez is taking it to the streets, quite literally, as he'll soon lead a series of Tampa food tours focused on giving locals and visitors alike a vibrant taste of great Tampa eats throughout the city.
The first Carlos Eats Food Tour will take place in Downtown Tampa on Saturday, September 8. The tour will kick off at 2:30 p.m. and last until 5:30 p.m. as Carlos leads you through the streets on a multi-restaurant tour of the area.
The tour will begin at Taco Bus, the popular haven for authentic, fresh Mexican cuisine in Downtown Tampa. From there, Carlos will lead the group to Eddie & Sams NY Style Pizza for a taste of authentic New York pizza then over to other notable Downtown eateries including L'Eden Restaurant, Kahwa Coffee, and Toma Spain before ending at Sono Cafe inside the Tampa Museum of Art.
Tickets are $59 and include food from all five of these restaurants, one coffee beverage, and one alcoholic beverage throughout the tour. Tickets can be purchased at carloseatstour.eventbrite.com. Hurry, though, the tour is limited to the first 20 people who sign up.
