In Tampa, with the recent influx of gourmet burger joints, Burger 21 remains a favorite. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that this popular restaurant expanded their reach to make their presence known in Lakeland.
Kicking off its franchise with a first location in Westchase, and subsequently opening their doors in Carrollwood, Burger 21 has also signed four agreements to establish additional units in Atlanta, Orlando and Voorhees, N.J., as well as two more Tampa Bay area locations. One of these Tampa locations will be opening later this summer in New Tampa.
The new location in Lakeland will mark the third franchise opening for Burger 21. Boasting seats for 125 customers, and with 2,559 square feet inside plus a patio, Lakeland's Burger 21 has prepared to house many patrons since its July 30th opening.
Burger 21, named due to the 21 different burgers available, offers beef, turkey, chicken, tuna, shrimp and veggie gourmet burgers, as well as hotdogs and salads. As a side, treat yourself to regular or sweet potato shoestring fries, paired with condiments ranging from Chipotle Mayo to Toasted Marshmallow, at the Sauce Bar. Lastly, Burger 21 offers hand-dipped floats, malts, shakes and sundaes.
Burger 21 Lakeland hours of operation: Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
