Located in the lobby of Element Luxury Apartments in Downtown Tampa, the newest Earl of Sandwich had its grand opening on Wednesday, May 31 at 11:00 AM. Although this is the fourth Earl of Sandwich location in the Tampa Bay area, the grand opening in Downtown was anything but ordinary with a few special guests.
Among the special guests was Earl of Sandwich founding partner Robert Earl himself. Earl is also the Founder and Chairman of Planet Hollywood International. Thrilled to open an Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Tampa, he says, “We are excited to be part the downtown community that includes museums, performing arts venues, athletic events and festivals held throughout the year.”
Cutting the ribbon with Robert Earl was none other than Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, who’s passionate about Tampa and good food as host to Tampa's annual Mayor’s Mac and Cheese Throwdown the past four years.
Earl and Mayor Buckhorn were also joined by Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson. The football player is also the founder of Jackson in Action 83 Foundation, which provides support to military families and focuses on meeting the educational, emotional, and physical needs of children.
Local military families were also present during the Earl of Sandwich grand opening in Downtown Tampa.
Known for making “The World’s Greatest Hot Sandwich,” Earl of Sandwich has a menu featuring a dozen signature hot sandwiches that are hand-made to order with quality ingredients on warm artisan bread.
