OGGI Italian
The new OGGi can be found on Davis Islands; the original is in North Tampa on Bearss. Our first time visiting we were struck by the number of Italian families dining with the ENTIRE family. Many of the long tables accommodated several adults and as many as 7-10 children.Imagine the tab, right! To our surprise, we learned all kids meals are $1. Yes, $1. OGGI greets you with a chilled glass bottle of spring water and tasty antipasti! All of OGGI chickens are free range; they source all natural meats raised without antibiotics or hormones for their delicious recipes. We started with the mussels, not on the menu, our server enquired as to what we like, and they threw this appetizer together for us. The atmosphere is quaint, wooden, relaxed and with perfect acoustics, quiet and relaxing even full of kids. We have returned several times, trying something new each time we go and have yet to be disappointed. Most in our party took advantage of the wines on tap, blending their favorites, wine was $3 per glass, and the pour was nice. We encourage you to give OGGI a try. Open for lunch, and Sunday dinner in Tampa from 11 am to 10 pm.
