Pride & Passion 2017: Cirque de Mascarade

The Tampa Museum of Art hosted 2017's Pride & Passion event this weekend. The night was complete with intricate costumes, bewitching masks and vibrant personalities. Pride & Passion was a cabaret-inspired event for the books, lasting memories, new friends, this event had it all! Watch for a full article by one of our Local Contributors, she covered the event describing the night as "passion perfected", saying overall the experience was 'Ah-may-Zing!' Mayor's Mac and Cheese 

We all know Mayor Bob Buckhorn loves to indulge Tampa with urbanity, fun and fantastic food. All three were proudly prominent at this, the fourth annual Mayor's Mac and Cheese Throwdown! People from across Hillsborough flooded downtown Tampa for this free event at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. There, they tasted more than 20 variations of mac and cheese from renowned local vendors and enjoyed Tampa's waterfront. A little excitement ensued on the sidelines this year, did you see the protesters?  They were protesting the ingestion of cheese! Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Races

The Junior League of Tampa and Pan Am Dragon Boat Association joined forces this year for the International Dragon Boat Races in downtown Tampa! This colorful and energetic fundraiser brings the Tampa Bay community together, promotes healthy living and active lifestyles. This, one of the biggest events in Tampa this past weekend wrapped up another successful charity event on the Hillsborough River! Sunscreen Film Festival 

The Sunscreen Film Festival came to St. Petersburg once again with all the glitz and glamor we expected! Guests received A-list star treatment from the opening celebration on Thursday where our #my813 Contributor Carlee interviewed guests and stars live on the red carpet. Best of Tampa Bay

Tampa's best restaurants and breweries were given the opportunity to shine during Best of Tampa Bay at the annual fundraiser for the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Over 40 participating restaurants and caterers brought their best food, beer, wine and more to this fun, relaxing foodie-centric charity event!
