While it's hard to imagine suited-up, old politicians partying at a place like Czar or the Dallas Bull, it could be a very real possibility when the Republican National Convention rolls through town in August later this year.
Both these nightclubs, as well as a handful of others, are part of the Republican National Convention's official venue list released earlier this month.
Other venues on the list include everything from the Tampa Yacht and Country Club to the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Pete, a bowling alley (which we can only assume is Splitsville), and over 60 others.
The Republican National Convention will market the list of 73 total venues to delegations, associations, media organizations and others looking to book parties during the convention's run from August 27 through 30 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
To be on the list, each of the venues had to hold off making any deals of their own for convention parties and wait for the RNC to play matchmaker and hook them up with potential clients to negotiate.
The convention intended to creating a diverse assortment of venues to accommodate the growing diversity of the Republican Party today. Who knows? Maybe you'll catch a senator breaking it down to some pulse-pounding electro at Czar, or maybe Bill O'Reilly getting his square dance on at the Dallas Bull.
Other venues on the list include Gaspar's Grotto, Hattrick's, the Tampa Museum of Art, and Mise En Place. We'll keep you posted as more details arise regarding parties during the Republican National Convention.
