Here’s our list of locally distilled alcoholic drink recipes for you and your friends to get into the spirit of Gasparilla during the pregame:
The Wrecked Pirate Cocktail
Do it big with the Wrecked Pirate Cocktail, but be careful not to get wrecked too early! Remember: it's a marathon, not a sprint!
2 parts Gaspar’s spiced rum
1 part Gaspar’s coconut rum
2 parts pineapple juice
Splash of Blue Curacao
Splash of Lemon-Lime Soda
Juice of ½ lime
Fresh pineapple for garnish
Maraschino cherries for garnish
Directions: Mix the three-parts Rum, two-parts pineapple juice, a splash of Curacao, a splash of Lemon Lime Soda, and Lime Juice. Then garnish with fresh pineapple and Maraschino cherries.

The Captain Jack
If you’re a rum lover, then Captain Jack is the perfect cocktail for a pirate-themed day like Gasparilla.
Ice
2 ounces of Gaspar’s Spiced Rum
1/2 oz. 151-proof rum
3/4 oz. fresh pineapple juice
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
1/2 oz. Velvet Falernum
1/2 oz. simple brown sugar
Pineapple slice for garnish
Directions: mix the ice, rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, Velvet Falernum, and simple brown sugar in a blender. Garnish with a pineapple slice.
Shipwrecked
This cocktail packs a punch for your Gasparilla pre-game party. Drink responsibility, or you’ll feel wrecked!
1 lb. frozen pineapple chunks
2 cups ice
6 oz. Gaspar’s Scurvy Lime Rum
4 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice
3 oz. simple syrup
2 1/2 oz. Gaspar’s Spiced Rum
Directions: Put all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. For an extra bit of fun, serve your frozen drink in a hollowed-out coconut or pineapple! Serves 6.
Anchors Away!
Put your anchors away on your favorite day of the year and start the day off right with an Anchors Away! Gasparilla-themed cocktail!
1 oz. Gaspar’s Silver Rum
1 oz. Gaspar’s Spiced Rum
1 oz. Gaspar’s Coconut Rum
3 oz. pineapple juice
1/2 ripe banana
5 large frozen strawberries
1 slice pineapple
Directions: Combine all ingredients together in a blender with ice. Blend on high until smooth, pour into a hurricane glass, and serve.
Bahama Mama
Calling all Bahama Mamas! If you need an extra bit of energy, the Gasparilla Brew coffee in this cocktail will have you buzzing!
1/4 oz. Gasparilla Brew from Buddy Brew Coffee
1 oz. Gaspar's Coconut Rum
1/4 oz. 151 Proof Rum
Juice of 1/2 lemon
4 oz. pineapple juice
Directions: Combine all ingredients and pour over cracked ice in a collins glass. Decorate with a strawberry or cherry and serve.
Bay Breeze
Vodka lovers, your time is now! Mix one of these up in the morning to prepare yourself for the long road ahead!
3 parts Touch One Vodka
1 part cranberry juice
1 part pineapple juice
Directions: Add cubed ice, then add the three-parts Touch One, then add the pineapple juice, and, last but not least, add the cranberry juice for color.
Berry Me in the Sand
Don't get buried in the sand on Gasparilla! You'll want to be up and at 'em, so make sure this cocktail is the only way you feel buried on Gasparilla!
1 oz. orange juice
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
Ice
Directions: Pour ingredients over ice in a small highball glass and serve.
Salty Dog
All you salty dogs will need one of these! For those looking for a simple drink with little sugar, this is a drink that will help reduce your hangover!
4 oz. grapefruit juice
Salt
1 1/2 oz. Touch Ruby Red Grapefruit Vodka
Directions: Build in a salt-rimmed highball glass and fill with grapefruit juice.
The Grog
The Grog is a classic pirate cocktail. It's simple, easy, and delicious, so mix one up for all of your fellow pirates this Gasparilla!
1 oz. of lime juice
1 oz. brown sugar
1 oz. Gaspar’s Spiced Rum
4 oz. water
Directions: Add the brown sugar to your shaker, add in a splash of warm water (1 oz.) to dissolve the sugar, and add lime juice. Put in rum, rest of the water, and ice. Shake. Pour over crushed ice and serve.
