Two leading Tampa Bay area tech firms have merged to create a new, local technology firm with over 200 employees, $140 million of annual revenue, and the promise of 100 new, high-paying jobs in Tampa by 2015, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
While many were commemorating the start of 2013 earlier this week, Oldsmar-based tech firm, Vology was busy making a deal to purchase and merge with Tampa tech firm, Bayshore Technologies.
The new company will now be called Vology and will run under the direction of chief executive officer Barry Shevlin, who expects those 100 new jobs to emerge at the company within the next two years.
Vology now aims to be a one stop provider for information technology in Tampa. Bayshore Technologies will now operate as Vology's professional services delivery division under Vology senior vice president and former Bayshore CEO Peter Anderson.
We'll keep you posted as more news arises regarding Vology and jobs in Tampa.
