Tampa Bay Beer Week officially kicked off at midnight last night at The Pour house in Channelside where craft beer lovers united to celebrate the start of a 120+ event craft-beer-centric event! This event has consistently grown to be bigger and better than ever with this year's schedule on track to being the BEST Tampa Bay Beer Week ever! One of the BIG change's is the move of Hunahpu's Day from Cigar City Brewing to Downtown Tampa. Thanks to Mayor Bob and the Downtown Partnership Hunahpu's will take place at Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park and the beautiful Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina Now for the BEST news; The Waterside and Cigar City Brewing partnered so you can WIN BIG while attending events at Tampa Bay Beer Week this year!

With over 120 events on the Tampa Bay Beer Week schedule your photo-op's are plenty! Here a a few of the things happening at the The Waterside during Tampa Bay Beer Week:
Monday March 7th - Green Bench Brewing Small Bites and Pints Party and a chance to WIN more
Small bite plates will be paired with Green Bench Brewery Company's 'Saison de Banc Vert', a highly-scored citrusy Farmhouse Ale and our favorite 'Dancing Chickens' Belgian Strong, named after Webb City's famous dancing chickens. (Did you drop a dime in the slot as a kid? We did!) More entertaining is this Belgian Dark Strong Ale aged eleven months in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, trust us, there is nothing like it!
Green Bench will also be serving 'Shopping Cart Cowboys', a limited edition golden sour ale. The brewery rep will be on hand Monday night from 6 - 9 pm handing out brewery swag and raffling off a 15 person private tasting inside the production space at Green Bench where you and your guests can meet the master brewer behind St. Petersburg's first craft microbrewery. (For each pint you buy you are given a raffle entry and a chance to win!)
Tuesday March 8th - Barley Mow Brewing Company hosts Keep the Pint Food Specials
This Tuesday at The Tampa Marriott Waterside chefs will pair dishes with Barley Mow Brewing Company's Special Release Beer. When you order the chef's creation and a simple, honest and well-crafted Barley Mow pint you keep the glass and are entered to win a Brew Session at Barley Mow with the Head Brewer. Food specials start at 11 am and run to 9 pm. The Barley Mow representative will be at The Waterside to answer questions and hand out goodies from 6 - 9 pm, the drawing takes place at 9 pm. Located in Largo, Barley Mow is a Tavern, a beer bar, no food is served, but we hear you can order up some goldfish crackers, popcorn and pretzels!
Barley Mow Brewing Company's tasting room constantly rotates 14 taps and offers a Nitro pushed beer. Favorites like The Unkindness, Quackalope, Selkie, and Maven are often on tap with new or seasonal brews alongside. You will also find Florida born craft beer and ciders on tap, and if you hit them up at just the right time you might get to try one of their beers straight from the cask!
Thursday March 10th - Big Storm Brewing Keep the Pint Burger Special
The Waterside will be crafting a Juicy Burger Special on Thursday to pair with their featured Big Storm Special Release Beer. Order a burger and brew, keep the pint glass from award-winning Big Storm Brewing Company and be entered to win a special Gift basket from Big Storm Brewing.
BSBC is known for using local wild flower honey in their brewing process adding a sweetness and clean finish to their IPA. Their original taproom is in Odessa; they celebrated the Grand Opening of their newest facility in Clearwater on February 20th and have plans to open in Pasco County this year. Big Storm Burger and a Brew Specials start at The Waterside at 11 am and end at 9 pm. Big Storm will be at the hotel from 6 - 9 pm sharing premium perks and picking the lucky winner for their Gift Basket at 9 pm.
