The University of South Florida football team has a homecoming game every year and this brings some great events on USF campus to build school spirit. These events are geared toward students, alumni, and the community to hype up spirit for the USF football team returning from away games. This year the USF Homecoming event organizers have gone above and beyond to make this week of events fun, enjoyable, and full of USF spirit!
The week of homecoming events kickoff on October 17 and there events all week leading up to the USF Homecoming Football game on October 22 when the USF Bulls take on the Cincinnati Bearcats. Here is a list of events that have been organized for USF Homecoming 2011:
- USF Homecoming Kickoff Party - Monday, October 17th at 11:30am
- USF Homecoming Stampede Comedy Show - Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00pm
- USF Homecoming Ball - Wednesday, October 19th at 8:00pm
- USF Homecoming Carnival - Thursday, October 20th at 4:00pm
- USF Parade & After Party - Friday, October 21st at 7:00pm
- USF Homecoming Football Game - Saturday, October 22nd at 12:00pm vs Cincinnati Bearcats
There will also be lots of school spirit on campaus all week long from fraternities, sororities, groups, organizations, students, and faculty. Make sure you wear your Green & Gold all week and show your USF spirit! While many of the events are on campus and geared toward students, the community is encouraged to be involved in some of the events.
The carnival is a great place to enjoy some outdoor recreation for the whole family including kids. There will be carnival rides and games on the Meadows (corner of Holly Dr. and 50th St.) along with lots of other entertainment. The comedy show will have live music from Gates of Eden and comedy from Lavelle Crawford and Eddie Griffin. Topping off the week of events prior to the game is a parade on Friday that will be fun for the whole community and the after party will have live performances from Hoodie Allen, Chiddybang, and The Cool Kid. If that is not enough, the headliner for the USF Homecoming Parade is TRAVIS PORTER!!
Make sure you get your Bulls gear ready and enjoy these great events put on by the USF Homecoming committee. Remember that these events are organized to support USF and the USF football team so show your support by attending the USF Football Homecoming game.
