The Wallflowers and Everclear Headline Tampa Bay Margarita Festival 2018

Today the headline bands for the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival 2018 were announced, and my Inner 90s Fangirl is, like, sooooo freaking out right now.

This year will feature bands The Wallflowers and Everclear as headliners from the stage at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Downtown Tampa. If you’re like me and grew up with these guys, and/or wanted one of them to be your boyfriend, this is guaranteed to make you more than a little excited. You can hear Wallfowers lead singer Jakob Dylan sing One Headlight and relive your college days without the bad outfits and, ummm, interesting hair! And this time you’re old enough to legally drink. Adulting at its finest!

If you love music, tequila, and that beautiful little drink known as the margarita, the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival 2018 at Curtis Hixon Park in Downtown Tampa is for you! On May 26th and 27th, Downtown Tampa will be celebrating the tequila-infused libation like it’s never been celebrated before.

For you DJ Fresh fans, he’ll be there as well.

This event as in years past is all day and there’s plenty to do. Listen to live music all day on the main stage, bring a blanket and hang out on the lawn, or play games with your friends while you sip and drink from a ridiculous amount of margaritas to choose from. From the classic to top shelf to extreme margaritas (we counted 69 of them listed on this page... nice!) you can taste them all, with plenty of featured bars and extra bartenders this year to make service even faster. 

General admission tickets will get you in the gates where you can enjoy the music and all booze, but you'll need to purchase drinks separately. The Grand Marnier VIP Experience will take your margarita consumption to the next level, as this ticket level gives you unlimited margaritas, beer, wine, and of course, water. You also get all day in-and-out access and have easy access to the VIP ONLY restroom trailers.

For those purists out there, you can also buy additional tickets to the Grand Tequila Tasting. The Grand Tequila tasting will be taking place during the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival on May 27th, 2017 from 2pm to 6pm. If you want to participate you'll need to get their early. This ticket includes a collectible Tampa Bay Margarita Festival 2018 tasting glass and FIVE tequila tastings. There are over 46 different tequila brands that are participating so if you love that blue agave nectar/firewater, this event is for you.

Tickets usually sell out a few weeks before the event, so it’s best not to procrastinate and get your tickets early for this one.
