Gasparilla is almost here and the countdown is on!
Ye Enchanted Krewe of Brigadoon kicks off the 2016 Gasparilla season by hosting its annual Dragon Party this Saturday, January 16th, 7 PM at Tequilas in Ybor City. KOB, the first Scottish kilted Krewe in Tampa Bay, hosts its 10th annual party this year.
100% of the proceeds from the Dragon party will benefit the Florida Dream Center; a Tampa Bay based non-profit which provides a myriad of services in the community, such as recovering and restoring human trafficking survivors. Krewe of Brigadoon’s goal for 2016 is to distribute $18,000 in donations towards local charities in the Tampa Bay Area which include: The Florida Dream Center, Joshua House, The Spring of Tampa Bay, Trinity Café, and Derrick Brooks’ Charities.
Tickets are $20 and include admission, drink specials, a buffet of a delicious assortment of food and, an entry towards a raffle for a hotel weekend giveaway. The Outpatients, a prominent Tampa Band since the 90s will be performing throughout the event. Tickets can be purchased online or at South Tampa Trading Company or Buccaneer Beads.
In addition to the weekend hotel giveaway, there are approximately 15 prizes available for an auction raffle. Tickets are an additional $20 for a sheet of 25 tickets and you disperse your tickets among the prizes you would like to win. Don't worry, there will be only ONE master number you will need to keep track of and you do not need to be present to win.
Also, to add to the many more prizes, there will be two liquor wagon raffles with each wagon boasting approximately $800 worth of alcohol. Tickets to these two raffles will be offered at $10 each.
