Tampa Bay Downs will be celebrating the end of their season with their Tampa Bay Downs Summer Festival of Racing starting June 30th! Head on down and see some amazing racing and music and possibly get your Fourth of July weekend off to a profitable start!
With racing and concerts, Tampa Bay Downs is ready to ring out the end of their season. The Summer Festival will not only be celebrating the end of the 2016-2017 season but also the start of the 2017-2018 season!
Opening with the final card of a 91-day season, fireworks will mark the closing of Tampa Bay Down’s 91st season! A season showcasing some the best horses of the year including Tapwrit, the Belmont Stakes winning Thoroughbred. Tapwrit first attracted attention when he set a track record winning the Tampa Bay Derby.

Racing starts on June 30th at 12:35 p.m., followed by a concert from Ronnie D & The Superstars at 6:30 p.m. Plan on coming back for the festivities on July 1st when racing continues followed by a concert from local favorites the Soul Circus Cowboys!
This annual event at the Oldsmar Oval will kick off the Fourth of July weekend in Tampa with some amazing concerts and great racing at The Downs where you can play the ponies, poker and practice your golf swing too! Their Golf Practice Facility is a 22-acre complex featuring 45 all-Bermuda grass hitting stations, two full-size chipping greens, an 8000-square foot putting green and a covered range area.
