We're just a couple days away from Memorial Day Weekend here in the Tampa Bay area. All throughout town, a variety of events ranging from the free and family friendly to upscale and adult, will be taking place in celebration of Memorial Day 2013, which takes place the following Monday, May 27. 2013 Tampa Bay Margarita Festival - Cinco de Mayo may have taken place earlier this month, but that's no excuse not to head out to the 2013 Tampa Bay Margarita Festival if you appreciate this fine Mexican cocktail. Taking place at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Saturday, May 25, the festival will feature a huge selection of premium margaritas in all the flavors and styles you can imagine as well as live music throughout the day and a dazzling fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. General admission tickets are $15 until May 24 and $20 at the door.
2013 Sunset Music Festival - This all day electronic dance music festival will return for its second year in the Tampa Bay area on Saturday, May 25 just outside of Raymond James Stadium. Head out to enjoy live DJ sets from some of the biggest names in EDM today including David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Flosstradamus, and Dillon Francis. General admission tickets are $89 until May 23 and $94 after.
Hogan's Beach Memorial Day Weekend - Hulk Hogan's new beach bar in Westshore will celebrate Memorial Day on Sunday, May 26 with an all day party out on the beach featuring live music from Swedish DJ duo Rebecca and Fiona. There will also be drink specials, tons of beach activities, food, and more on hand to enjoy. Tickets are only $10.
Memorial Day Beach Ball at Club Prana - The renowned Club Prana in Ybor will celebrate Memorial Day 2013 with a wild and crazy beach-themed celebration on Sunday, May 26. Head out to Prana in your best beach gear and enjoy five different levels of music and entertainment, drink specials, a vibrant nightlife atmosphere, and more this Memorial Day Weekend.
2013 Memorial Day Military Appreciation at Lowry Park Zoo - Tampa's renowned and award-winning zoo will honor all those who have served and sacrificed for our country by offering free admission for all military personnel (active-duty and retirees) on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27. Just show a Department of Defense photo ID at the Zoo’s ticket counter. As many as three direct dependents of military personnel also are entitled to free admission to the Zoo on Memorial Day 2013.
