Get ready to celebrate all things University of South Florida with the 3rd Annual Bulls Block Party 2018, happening in historic Ybor City on August 25th!
Organized by the USF Greater Tampa Alumni Chapter of the USF Alumni Association, the event has become wildly popular and serves as a fundraiser to endow a scholarship for a Tampa Bay area student going to Florida's newest preeminent university.
Bulls Block Party 2018 will kickoff at the beautiful The Italian Club with event registration and speakers. Last year saw USF Football head coach Charlie Strong get the crowd fired up, and more Bulls staff and coaches will be there to get you ready for the 2018 season. From the Italian Club, attendees roam freely to different participating bars and restaurants. Look for the full lineup of participating venues to be released soon!
The event has grown significantly since it first launched in 2016, which had 500 people participate. Last year's block party had 1,100 attendees, and it's expected to be even larger for 2018. Tickets for Bulls Block Party 2018 are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the party. Make sure to get your ticket today!
"The goal for the Bulls Block Party is to create a gameday, tailgate-like atmosphere in Ybor City, a week before football season," said Zach Pietrzyk, an organizer of the event with the USF Greater Tampa Alumni Chapter. "It's not just for USF alumni but the community and all friends of the university. It is the type of event that appeals to everyone, almost a college reunion. You can see people you tailgate with every year or re-connect with people you went to USF with." The USF Bulls play home games at Raymond James Stadium the following two Saturdays after Bulls Block Party 2018: versus Elon on September 1st at 6 p.m. and against Georgia Tech on September 8th at noon.
The USF Greater Tampa Alumni Chapter has about ten members who work year-round planning the Bulls Block Party each year, chaired by Stephen Lytle. Pepin Distributing Company and Bud Light once again return as the title sponsor for Bulls Block Party 2018. Keep in mind the event serves as a fundraiser for the USF Greater Tampa Alumni Chapter to endow a scholarship for a Tampa Bay area student to USF, so buy tickets and give generously!
