Three microbreweries from Ireland will see their premier tomorrow at The Vault in Tampa from Viviza Florida, the first foray into the beer market for the Tampa-based importers. The public is also invited to have a taste of what should be some delicious craft beer from the emerging Irish beer culture.
Eight Degrees Brewing, Kinnegar Brewing, and Brehon Brewhouse will be featured, with each bringing their wares across the pond for the first time. All three purveyors will have two of their brews on display, and much like Tampa's beer culture, there's plenty of room for experimentation and different tastes from the Emerald Isle as well. The event is from 6-8 p.m. at The Vault in Downtown Tampa and is $20 for guests, with each participating label flying the actual creators of the beer themselves across the Atlantic to share their beloved brews with the public in Tampa.
Eight Degrees' Sunburnt Red Irish Ale will fit the Florida lifestyle at least in terms of name, and their Full Irish Single Malt IPA trades on the whiskey which abounds in Ireland. Kinnegar comes from County Donegal, bringing their "light, crisp, and refreshing" Limeburner, as well as Rustbucket, a rye ale. Brehon's Ulster Black is an oatmeal stout with a "dark chocolate and coffee finish," and their Brehon Blonde is described as having a "malty, biscuit finish," showing our European friends absolutely use different descriptors as well.
Though wider distribution to Tampa Bay is forthcoming, all beers are already available on tap at The Stein and Vine in Brandon.
