Give Day Tampa Bay is your chance to donate to many non-profits and charities that serve our Tampa Bay community - it's easy, simple and only takes a minimum $5 donation to help!
Give Day Tampa Bay is the biggest online charity day of giving! It's a 24-hour day of online giving as the Tampa Bay community steps up to raise much-needed funds for local charities. In addition non-profits compete for the most online donations for their cause, and can win prizes matching donations from many corporate and private sponsors.
The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay hosts this day of giving, designed to help Tampa Bay non-profits get much-needed support, and raise awareness of the good work they do in the Tampa Bay community.
You can review the list of charities involved at GiveDay.org. With more than 400 non-profits registered, everyone can find a nonprofit that matches their passions. Your donations can help families and kids in need, the elderly, military vets, animals, education, the environment, the arts, veteran’s affairs, health services and more!
“The new or sustained programs that have a real, positive impact are the reasons that Give Day was created and its fundraising is so successful,” said Marlene Spalten, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. “The collective power of giving can make a major difference in our communities."
Now in its fifth year, Give Day Tampa Bay has raised nearly $7 million for hundreds of Tampa Bay area nonprofits.
Last year's Give Day produced notable results; Quantum Leap in Tampa used some of the donated funds to host a retreat for war veterans. Meals on Wheels of Tampa provided 800 hurricane food and supply packs for home bound seniors and residents. And through Give Day, Guardian ad Litem Foundation got a new donor, who later became a board member and secured a grant.
Give Day is a perfect way for everyone in the Tampa Bay to help their local community. It's convenient, simple and the minimum donation is only $5! This provides donors a way to support multiple causes that are important to them. Give Day Tampa Bay donors can make a pledge prior to May 1 or make a donation on May 1. All donations are tax-deductible and will remain in the Tampa Bay area. Nonprofits from Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties will be participating in Give Day this year. All of the money donated on Give Day (less a small credit card processing fee) will be given to the nonprofit for which it is intended. The Community Foundation does not keep any money donated on Give Day.
