Gasparilla International Film Festival (GIFF) will kick off its inaugural indie movie series with a screening of the Sundance-acclaimed 2013 film The Kings of Summer at Muvico Centro Ybor 20 on August 8.
Starring Nick Robinson (Melissa & Joey), Nick Offerman, Megan Mullalley (both of Parks & Rec fame/real-life husband and wife), and Alison Brie (Community, Mad Men), The Kings of Summer tells the story of "three teenage friends, in the ultimate act of independence, decide to spend their summer building a house in the woods and living off the land," according to IMDB.
GIFF will show The Kings of Summer at this one time and place only - Muvico Centro Ybor 20 on Thursday, August 8 at 7:30 p.m. - so don't sleep on buying tickets if you plan on heading out.
Tickets are $12 or $10 for students, seniors and military with proper identification. Discounted tickets may not be purchased online in advance.
