Henry B. Plant Museum - Save on the regular $10 admission price and check out the Plant Museum for free. Check out the "Henry Plant: King of Florida" exhibit and learn how Tampa blossomed from a small village to one of the largest cities in Florida with the help of Henry Plant. The museum building itself is a rich piece of Tampa history harkening back to the gilded age with an architectural style that's pretty magnificent. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tampa Bay History Center - Dive into 12,000 years of Tampa history and artifacts at the Tampa Bay History Center. Learn about the people and places that have shaped the Tampa Bay area into what it is today and the interesting stories that got them here. Hours are noon to 5 p.m.
Tampa Museum of Art - If you haven't check out the new Tampa Museum of Art, you're missing out. Meander through this 66,000 square foot mecca of visual art and feast your eyes on a variety of different traveling exhibitions, and contemporary as well as classic art. Hours are noon to 5 p.m.
Florida Museum of Photographic Arts - If you're a photo buff, check out the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts in Downtown Tampa and study what makes great photographs, well, great photographs. Many outline the rich history of Florida while others are contemporary and inventive. View 'em all for free on this special day. Hours are noon to 5 p.m.
