Take a trip to Italy- oh wait, I mean Tampa- to try some of Italy’s best wines and cuisines during Winefest of Italy Tampa! Starting April 5, Festa Italiana has booked three days full of events celebrating the best of the Italian culture, and you know what that means: lots of pasta and wine!
The festival kicks off on April 5 with the legendary Louis Prima’s daughter Lena Prima, filling The Italian Club with her beautiful voice. If you're a true Italian and enjoy classic Italian sounds, then this is a must-attend. Tickets cost between $40 and $50, and the event will take place on the third floor of the Italian Club building. This is a great way to get you in the mood to celebrate anything and everything Italian.
The following day is deemed the Italian Heritage Day and will take place in Ybor City. This day is stocked with fun events for everyone. There will be food vendors all day long for you to snack from as well as a riveting Bocce Invitational that will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, there will be a Grape Stomp, which is simply just loads of fun. In addition to all of this, cooking demos, wine competitions, and even more bocce will also take place throughout the day. Rounding the festival out, Sunday is wholly dedicated to wine with Winefest. There will be over 100 different wines from Italy and California for you to sample as well as food from some of your favorite restaurants around town including Bavaro's Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria | Tampa and Revolution Ice Cream Co.
If this hasn’t already sold you, they'll also be showcasing different craft cocktails, bellinis, and martinis, meaning you're bound to have a good time. Tickets are $65 each, and make sure to grab them while you can!
This entire festival surely showcases all the best parts of Italy, thanks to the Italian Club of Tampa. It’s definitely not one you can pass up, so make sure to mark your calendars ASAP to start wining and dining.
