March is a month that boasts tons of festivities with St. Patrick’s Day, Spring Break events and more, but what better feeling can you possibly have than when you're able to spoil yourself and donate to charity at the same time?
Gaspar's Grotto is holding a yearlong charity event with Make-A-Wish foundation (which if you don't know already, is an organization that helps in granting any wish for a child who is terminally ill).
Basically, two people each month will be awarded "golden" tickets which will enter them into a $10,000 Treasure Hunt at the end of the year. The treasure hunt will feel like an actual adventure, as the entire sandbar at Gaspar's Grotto will have $10,000 worth of gold and silver coins hidden. Participants will get to dig for treasure for a full minute and keep whatever they find. Afterwards, whatever is left will be donated to charity!
How do you get awarded these sought after tickets? Every tab at Gaspar's Grotto that is $100+ will be entered into a drawing to be chosen at random at the end of the month. The other monthly golden ticket is given to whoever had the highest tab for that month. In addition, five percent of all these $100+ tabs will also be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
With this in mind, it sure is great timing to head over this month with the multitude of events they'll be hosting!
Every Tuesday during the month of March, Gaspar's Grotto with hold a Crawfish Boil event with live music, Louisiana beer specials, and the great deal of a pound and a half of craw fish with all the fixins' for just $14.95.
On March 8th, there will be a Saint Patrick’s Day Party by Krewe of Shamrock. If you purchase tickets in advance then you also receive 5 Door Prize Tickets and a food ticket! If you don't get them in advance and at the door instead, no worries, you can still be entered into a special prize drawing if you arrive wearing a kilt. There will also be all you can drink wristbands available that are only $25.
The St. Patrick's Festivities don't stop there at Gaspar’s Grotto, as they will be holding their own St. Patrick's Day Bash on March 15th which will have a $100 karaoke contest and $100 green bead toss. The party takes place on the day of the Ybor City St Patrick's Day Parade.
Soon after on Saturday March 22nd there will be a concert featuring 3 Pint Harmony, a Flogging Molly tribute, and many other musicians. Gaspar's has tons of live music performances and after all the crazy fun in March has commenced, it doesn't stop there. The anticipated Ybor City Rocks All Day Festival takes place on Saturday April 5th which is a 12 hour party of nonstop music starting at 2pm.
