Gasparilla is a time for residents of the Tampa Bay area to let loose for the beloved annual pirate-themed celebration. The day parade features buccaneer-themed costumes for partygoers, decorated boats, lots of drinks, beads, and groups of friends all sharing the party atmosphere. But the big question which Tampanians have asked for generations remains; where should I go for Gasparilla?
One of the ideal locations to see the boat parade and enjoy the experience with friends is the Aloft Tampa Downtown Hotel. Aloft is a great location for Gasparilla fun, and host of one of the best Gasparilla parties in town! The pool-deck area boasts a large outdoor patio, which connects to the trendy and modern hotel. With guests being able to spend time both by the outdoor lounge and just steps from their W XYZ Bar, the spot could not be better for soaking up everything Gasparilla has to offer.
Aloft has gone all-in on arrrrrggggghhhh in 2018, with a DJ will be playing beats from 11am-1pm to get the crowd ready to party, and again from 6pm-11pm on January 27th. There's no limit to the number of people that can attend, however there is limited seating so if you are planning to have a seat by the bar or one by the water... get there early! You don't want to miss out on one of the best Gasparilla parties of 2018, and a terrific spot to see Tampa overrun once again!
With the Hillsborough River in front of you teeming with a flotilla ready to take over our fair city, and libations readily available behind, you'll be surrounded by everything that makes Tampa's special holiday so terrific. Feel free to dress like a pirate, or simply talk like one if you choose: but come prepared to celebrate the invasion of Jose Gaspar and his band of marauders!
