Ybor City is easily one of the Tampa Bay area's most vibrant, historical districts. Since its foundation in the 1800's, Ybor City has played the backdrop to a vast assortment of different cultures and ethnicities whose finger prints still linger throughout the shops, food, and landmarks that call Ybor home today.
To commemorate its history and status as an eclectic cultural melting pot, Ybor City hosts one of its biggest annual events, Fiesta Day featuring tons of local cuisine, live entertainment, and more each February.
Now approaching its 66th year, the Fiesta Day 2013 street festival will take place on Saturday, February 23 along historic 7th Avenue between 15th and 20th street in Ybor City.
This fun, free, and family-friendly event will feature dozens of Ybor City food vendors serving up the district's signature Latin eats including Cuban sandwiches, devil crab, black beans, rice, and so much more. In addition, an assortment of local vendors will be on hand selling hand-made art, crafts, gifts, and unique wares indigenous to Ybor City.
To compliment the food, goods, and more, Fiesta Day 2013 will play host to an eclectic assortment of live music and entertainment from a handful of great local artists on two stages - one in Centro Ybor and another in the street festival area.
Fiesta Day 2013 is free to attend and open to the public.
We'll keep you posted as more news - including live music, food, and vendor lineups - as Fiesta Day 2013 approaches. For more information on Fiesta Day, head over to ybor.org.
