It's hardly a revelation that Ybor City is easily the best destinations for letting loose and enjoying the true culture of Tampa with a variety of nightlife, restaurants, live entertainment, and more.
While many may have a singular view of what this tiny district has to offer, make no mistake, Ybor City is a constantly growing and evolving entity that could easily change one's mind in a matter of a few, short months.
For instance, the barren storefront that sat next to Centro Ybor has transformed from a blank eyesore into one of Tampa's newest prime dining destinations, Carne Chophouse. Another empty spot down historic 7th Avenue is now Bad Monkey, a forward-thinking military-themed bar, and another is now the delightfully dive-y bar, Barbarella.
Even with the addition of these new businesses, there are probably a handful of attractions throughout Ybor you might not even know about. Did you know there's actually a piece of Cuba, like literally, official Cuban land that sits in the heart of Ybor at 1303 E. 8th Ave.?
Or how about the famed, restored TECO Line Streetcar than can take you from Ybor City to other Tampa nightlife destinations like Channelside and Downtown Tampa in a heartbeat? For only a couple bucks, you can forget the exorbitant taxi and parking fees in favor of this great, moving cultural experience.
You can't mention Ybor without talking about the nightlife in Ybor City. Throughout the district, you will find a variety of bars and clubs for any mood. Club Prana, Gaspar's Grotto, Coyote Ugly, Double Decker, Czar and The Castle are just a few.
