Best Places for Wicked Good Pizza in Tampa
Blaze Pizza
Blaze Pizza stands out from other restaurants with its unique spin on making pizza, providing a fully customizable experience. While other pizza places handle the majority of their orders through phone or mobile ordering, Blaze Pizza focuses on interactions with their guests. Similar to Chipotle's line, Blaze guests can watch their pizza being made as they select from a wide variety of sauces, cheeses, toppings, and finishes. This, along with providing options for those looking for Gluten-Free and Vegan pizzas, is what makes Blaze Pizza stand out.
It should come as no surprise to hear that Blaze's most popular food item is their "Build Your Own" Pizza. Their most popular drink is one of the hand-crafted signature beverages, Blood Orange Lemonade if you need a refresher.

Gourmet Pizza Company
Opened in 1999, Gourmet Pizza Company's been featured in several publications including Southwest Airline's in-flight magazine as one of the top pizzerias in the country. That ain't an easy feat, my friends. This small Hyde Park Pizzeria serves up local-ingredient pizzas including vegan and gluten-free pizzas, chicken with smoked gouda, steak and gorgonzola, a Thai chicken pizza, and a shrimp and roasted garlic that is on our order every time! Hawkeyes Pizza
This is where owner Anthony, in the restaurant business since he was 8 or 9 years old under the tutelage of his Sicilian father, has been in the same location in New Tampa on Cross Creek Blvd for seven years. He started cooking a 13, learning from professional chefs in his dad's excellent Italian restaurants. Find Chicken Parmesan, Stromboli, and the Giant 28" Pizza where "Quality over Quantity" is Anthony's motto. Pop in for a fantastic sub at lunch, or grab the area's ONLY Halal (kosher pizza) in town. Not only do they save up some of the craziest combinations of flavor, but they all actually work! If you're wondering what to get, I would suggest the AJ's Pink Flamingo or the Coral Reefer for a yummy bite to eat!
Eddie & Sams New York Pizza
In my opinion, the best slice in all of Tampa is the Buffalo Chicken slice from Eddie & Sams! This has been one of my favorite spots since I moved to Tampa in 2014 because they always make you feel right at home in their bustling and constantly busy pizza shop! I love that you can see the slices as you walk along the glass, so you know just what you're getting yourself into before you take your first bite. Some of the best slices from Eddie & Sams are the buffalo chicken, the lasagna, the BBQ chicken and if you still have room, don't forget about their garlic knots - they're to die for!
